About The Courageous Leadership Consortium

Since the 1970s, Lois and Arn Hart sought ways to improve the status of women. They supported research on moving women into leadership roles and gender relationships.

Published books Dr. Hart wrote include the best selling Moving Up! Women and Leadership, The Sexes at Work, 50 Activities for Developing Leaders Vol.I and Vol II with Charlotte Waisman, also Faultless Facilitation Resource Guide, and Training Methods That Work.

After Dr. Hart's 33 years of experience as a trainer, facilitator, and consultant, the Harts funded the charter Women's Leadership Institute (see "Women's Leadership Institute" in Programs' link) Lois served as its Executive Director for nine years.

To further the leadership development of women programs, in 2005 the Harts founded and funded The Courageous Leadership Consortium, a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization. In 2009, the Courageous Leadership Consortium became a program of The Susan B. Anthony House in 2009.
